The State of Louisiana (LA) is located in the South of the United-States on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The “Pelican State” has a population of nearly 4,6 million. Its official capital is the city of Bâton-Rouge but its main city is New Orleans.

In order to escape form the city’s effervescence, the City Park and especially the Louisiana Bayous where swamp tours let you discover the wildlife such as crocodiles, alligators, crawfish or shrimp.

Influenced by the Creole culture, the State of Louisiana features historical sites such as plantation. The Plantation in Vacherie and the Houmas House Plantation and Gardens of Darrow shows magnificent gardens, nice statues and hundred years old trees.

The nature lovers will have to visit some park and natural areas featured in LA. There are plenty of it all around the State, it will be difficult to choose between the Lake Martin of Breaux Bridge, the Jungle Gardens of Avery Island or the bluebonnet Swam Nature Center of Baton-Rouge.
