02/26/2024 - Fair evaluation

Metropolis is a small, somewhat downtrodden, town on the Ohio river in S. Illinois, so what do you expect from a Casino there? We're not talking LV, AC, Reno, or Tahoe, right? So, don't expect an amazing experince. Tabling one's expectations yields a far more enjoyable reault. The staff is friendly and competent. The table games accommodate most types of players. There are plenty of slots for those who are into rhem. Most important to me? They don't back off winning players. I go 2-3 a week and as a consistent winner, I appreciate them allowing me to play.

05/01/2023 - Worst “casino” experience I’ve ever had in my life

My expectations were pretty low when we drove 2 hrs to Harrah’s Metropolis but it was honestly so much worse than I could have imagined. Even just pulling up to park we all thought, wow what a dump. The casino is very small, can pretty much see it all when you walk in. We were there around noon on a Saturday to play craps. One table of two was open and full. signed up for player’s cards to wait for a spot and while we did that the 2nd craps table opened. Must have been the B team because this was such a bad experience. Within 30 min we decided we couldn’t play here anymore, the staff was just so bad at running the game. I had a $10 bet lost by the dealer that took them 20 min on the phone talking to camera people to figure it out. the stick person just rushed along no pace at all. everyone looked tired like they just did not want to be there. This was just such a disappointment, and again, expectations were pretty low to begin with haha. Well, we drove another hr to Bally’s in Evansville and enjoy
