Goa (GA) is a region located on the southwest coast of India, on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Its population is estimated at nearly 1,5 million. The gambling age limit to access to the casinos is 21 years old and the currency used is the Indian Rupee (INR).

Its capital and main city is Panaji that is located on the seacoasts and the Mandovi River. Dynamic and lively capital, Panaji is home of many resort and hotels. Some of them are sumptuous and luxurious, featuring spas, pools or privileged accesses to the beach. In the streets, restaurants and bars welcome the residents and tourists until the end of night.

Former Portuguese colony from 1510 to 1961, it has kept some colonial monuments and places like the Old City of Panaji, Basilica of Bon Jesus and the cathedral of Saint Catherine.

Goa benefits from a tropical climate that prevent from cold weather. That is why; it is widely appreciated as a touristic center. All year long, many visitors come to enjoy the 120 kilometers of sandy white beaches as well as their coconut trees, flowered gardens and green rice fields.

Many luxurious resorts and hotels are available all year long to enjoy the advantages of Goa. At night, tourists can celebrate their vacations in the clubs or entertainment establishments located close to the beach.

One of the most luxurious and attractive venues remains the Strike casino of Goa located inside the Grand Hyatt hotel. This establishment is ideally located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, giving the opportunity to the visitors to appreciate a wonderful panorama on the sea. Open 24/7, the Strike casino is considered as one of the most spacious gambling venue in India.

This Las Vegas style casino attracts plenty of visitors all day long. 3 floors of gaming provide the last technology of games highlighted by gaming systems and hardware imported from London, Las Vegas or even Japan. A wide choice of slot machines and gaming tables as Roulette, Blackjack, Mini Poker and Indian Flush Games are waiting the advanced and novice players. An entertainment complex is also located within the Strike casino, featuring gaming spaces for teenagers and a toddler crèche.

After a visit of the casino, visitors can fully enjoy all the advantages and many opportunities of the region. As we said earlier, the most popular places are the sandy beaches. During high temperatures places as Agenda Beach, Palolem Beach, Mamdrem Beach or Varca Beach are crowded. They are so beautiful that there is no need to explain why they are so popular.

This touristic center is also one of the capitals of electronic music. Each year, it is held on the beaches of Anjuna and Vacator, the Full Moon Party festival that attracts thousands of members of the trance culture.

The churches and houses that were built during the colonial times are another interesting attraction. Mainly located within Old Goa, they were built during the 16th and 17th centuries. The contrast between the modern part of the region and the old one is impressive.

The two most known monuments of the colonial past remain the Basilica Bon Jesus and the Cathedral Saint Catherine.

The Basilica Bon Jesus is a baroque style church built between from 1594 to 1605. Listed as UNSECO world heritage site since 1986, its particularity is to be home of the tomb of Saint Francis Xavier. Therefore, the Basilica Bon Jesus is a widely known pilgrimage site.

The cathedral Saint Catherine is a catholic building dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandrie. Built in 1534, it is one of the largest churches in India.

Goa is a destination that could fit many types of tourists. The younger can enjoy the sandy beaches, bars and clubs to celebrate or even participate in the very particular Full Moon Party. For those who are more into history and culture, the Old Goa is full of historic monument dating back from the 16th and 17th centuries. The gambler enthusiasts will surely love the Strike casino, which is one of the most beautiful gambling establishments of India.
