The news has not been confirmed by the city yet, but everything is gathered to believe that the Socièté Française of Casino (SFC) is going to take over the casino of Chamonix, former venue of Barrière Group. It is not the only move from the SFC, since the group will take shares in the capital of the casino of Leucate.


According to Le Dauphiné, the SFC and the mayor of Chamonix, Eric Fournier, found an agreement on the definitive purchase of the casino. The SFC gets now 100% of the venue’s capital.


In the meantime, the French company declared that it took over 49% of the capital of the new “Socièté Franco-belge of casino”.


This group owned at 51% by the Belgian casino group “Circus” has 100% of the capital of casino of Leucate. Hence, SFC is in possession of shares in the venue located in the South of France.


The company is progressively climbing in the French casino market.


The Socièté Française of Casino runs already 4 venues en France: the casino of Gruissan, the casino of Châtel-Guyon, the casino of Port la Nouvelle and the casino of Collioure.


The group also takes advantages in activities of dining or shows.


According to Capital, the next objective of the group is the purchase of the casino of Briançon, still in talks today.
