People who wanted to try the Vegas Experience in the Okanogan region will be happy: the 12 Tribes Resort Casino opened on the 17 June. Just 45 miles south from the Canadian Border, the casino is located in Omak near the Okanogan Highlands.
The Colville Business Council inaugurated, by cutting a red ribbon, its new 56,000 square foot casino with pride. “We’ve waited for it for a long time. It’s a spurt to our economic growth.” said the Omak Mayor, Cindy Gagne. Indeed, the casino will provide 200 full time employment opportunities.
Opened 24/7, the modern and luxurious establishment, which costed $43 million, replaces the Okanogan Casino.
That’s the first time the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation features a hotel with a casino and they hope to attract a lot of Canadian people, in addition to the Americans.
Three restaurants welcome the visitors: Camas (American food), Yú Asian Bistro (Cantonese, Szechuan & Hunan food) and The Sweet Shop for those who want candies, ice cream or coffee.
Evolution, the resort’s nightclub welcomes Djs, live entertainment and comedy shows every weekend. The stylish bar, Element 78, serves beer, martinis, cocktails and wines and features three TVs.
The non-smoking hotel of the resort opened just a few days later, on the 22th. It offers 68 modern and sophisticated rooms and 12 suites, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna area and a fitness center. The spa will pamper the customers with massages or others treatments (manicure, pedicure…).
The Grand Opening will take place on July 24-25-26. For this occasion, the players will play free tournaments (Blackjack on the 24th, Slot and Poker on the 25th) and will have the opportunity to win a brand new 2015 Cadillac ATS Sedan (on the 26th).
