The actress director producer and scenarist is currently directing a new series based on casinos.


Recently, Deadline reported that the Devious Maids producer is now working on a new project for NBC (the number one TV channel in the United States), a drama called Casino.

She reportedly sold the project to NBC through her production company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment. The storyline of this series is written by East Los High co-creator, Carlos Portugal.

Set in a casino world, as the name suggests, it’s centers on the aftermath of a mogul's mysterious death when his ambitious young widow and his illegitimate son have to join forces to save his famed casino, while circumstances surrounding his death come to light and threaten to take them down.

Even though it is too soon to know the name of the cast members, the Desperate Housewives actress is very likely to surround herself with Hispanic actors.
